We all know money can be tight, and sometimes it’s good to be able to save a little on your book budget.
If you want to read my books, but can’t afford to buy them all, there are a couple of ways to go about it!
- Ask for them at your local library! A lot of my books are available for libraries to order home, and more will be coming. By the end of 2018, you should be able to order all my books via your local library service.
- Become an ARC team member.
Whenever I publish a new book, I have a small team of dedicated reviewers read them 1-2 weeks before publication. They get the book for free, and in return they leave an honest and unbiased review on their favorite retailers once the book is published. Being an ARC reader is a great way to enjoy new content without having to scrounge for change, but it does come with a lot of responsibility:
a) You have to leave a review. If you sign up for an ARC and don’t review, you’ll be permanently excluded from all future reviews and giveaways. There are no second chances.
b) You must to read the conditions for every signup carefully. If you give an ARC a bad rating because it was a novella that ended in a cliffhanger – but the sign-up warned you about this before you accepted the book – you won’t be a good fit for the team and are unlikely to receive any future opportunities. If you know you don’t like cliffhangers, novellas, non-con scenes or any other subjects a specific ARC includes, simply give it a pass and wait for the next opportunity.
c) You must always be honest in your reviews. Other readers count on reviews to guide their purchase, and it’s important that they are able to rely on your review to decide if a book will be a good fit. If you do not like a book, and it isn’t for a reason you were warned about when you signed up for the ARC, you will not be excluded from the team for voicing your honest opinion.
d) Accept as many ARC opportunities as possible. While you certainly don’t have to accept all ARCs, it’s important you do as many as possible. As numbers on the team are limited, if you are holding up a spot without accepting any ARCs, another reader will be offered your spot.
How do I become an ARC team member?
You email me at nora (@) nora-ash.com and express your interest! Please include links to all vendors your review on. The more places you review, the greater the chance you’ll be accepted.
The ARC team is an exclusive opportunity for excellent reviewers, so please do not be disheartened if you are not accepted. There will be more opportunities in the future.
I am looking for reviewers for:
- BARNES & NOBLE
- AMAZON UK
- AMAZON CA
- AMAZON AU
- AMAZON US
The vendors are ranked in order of requirement – the higher a vendor on the list you review with, the better your chance of acceptance onto the team.
